A unique horological experience
When an owner lifts the lid on this finely crafted solid wood case, they can be sure they will experience what Maison Alcée promises: the joy of creating something and coming as close as possible to capturing the craftsman’s skill and its full meaning.
You’ll receive a presentation boxed set containing all 233 parts of the clock, all the necessary tools (some of them specially developed to ensure they can be used by the uninitiated), and a beautifully designed book to guide you through the construction of your unique table clock.
The whole project was developed with the help of a watchmaking team comprising a Meilleur Ouvrier de France to draw on the skills of a craftsman of excellence, teachers for the educational dimension, and a designer to breathe new life into the old-fashioned clock.
A MANUFACTURED MOVEMENT
Manufactured in the Franco-Swiss Jura Arc
Our clock movement is anchored in the finest workmanship, developed by the winner of a Meilleur Ouvrier de France ‘Best Craftsman’ award together with horology teachers so that anyone with an interest can successfully assemble their own timepiece.
The movement has been developed by and for Maison Alcée and is manufactured by select partners in the Jura Arc region, renowned for its UNESCO world heritage.
Maison Alcée developed its own watch movement, capable of being brought to life by anyone with a mind – and a heart – to do so.
The GPHG Audacity prize
In 2023, Maison Alcée won the Prix de l’Audace award for daring design in the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève contest, the watch and clock-making equivalent of the Oscars. Our brand has risen to the challenge of redefining the horological experience, with a special focus on outstanding craftsmanship – and high-end home assembly.
