Persée, the first timepiece from Maison Alcée, is a table clock where you assemble everything (including the mechanical movement) yourself, doing it all in the comfort of your own home.
Here at Maison Alcée, we’ve honed our expertise still further in our relentless quest for excellence with Persée Or, a vibrant tribute to High Horology.
Persée Or is presented in a zebrawood box, crafted by a French artisan. Inside, you’ll find all 233 movement and case components, of which 169 are to be assembled, along with all the necessary horological tools (some specially developed for watchmaking beginners) and a wonderful book to guide the enthusiast through the assembly of Persée Or.
The meticulous attention brought to myriad details makes Persée Or a precious object, with over 95% of its components manufactured in France or Switzerland.
The whole project was developed with the help of a watchmaking team comprising Thierry Ducret, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, drawing on the skills of a craftsman of excellence, Jean-Marie Desgranges, a teacher, for the educational dimension, and Antoine Tschumi, a designer, to breathe new life into the old-fashioned clock.

Champagne 24 karat rose gold
The 24-karat champagne rose gold, meticulously applied to the bridges, plates, brackets and regulator plate, gives this piece an aura of discreet and timeless luxury. This finish offers a shine that subtly intrudes into the soul of the timepiece.
Circular graining and bevelling
The wheels, delicately given a circular brushed finish and bevelled by hand, showcase artisanal craftsmanship. Every surface and edge reflects painstaking craftsmanship, requiring an additional six days of highly specialized work for each timepiece.
The circular supports, carefully bevelled and mirror-polished, add an elegant touch.

Mirror polishing
The hands and brackets, polished to a mirror finish by hand, capture light to offer a play of reflections that adds unique visual depth.
Sunburst guilloche
Persée Or’s stainless steel dial features a sunburst guilloche pattern, where each finely engraved ray gracefully reflects the slightest light.
Sandblasting
Fine sandblasting combined with silver deposition on the bell, as well as sandblasting on the circular base elements, imbue Persée Or with a sophisticated allure, highlighting the artisanal expertise behind its creation.
Straight-graining and satin finishing
the satin finish meticulously applied to the brackets and plates gives the whole assembly a subtle and sophisticated texture. This finishing is complemented by the straight-graining of the plates’ flanks.
Persée Or, in a case made of refined zebrawood
The light tan and dark brown stripes of the zebrawood case, crafted by a French artisan, are bold and unique.
